Presales Consultant (m/w/d)

Würzburg

What it's all about

Before a solution gets built by us, it first has to be the right one. That's where you come in: as a Presales Consultant, you accompany our sales team through the entire sales process and make sure that, in the end, we land on a proposal that actually fits the customer - in substance, technically, and in scope. You're the go-to person for prospects on all content-related and technical questions, you mediate between what customers want and what's realistically feasible, and you hand our System Integration Consultants a solid foundation to build on later.

Your daily doing will involve

  • In direct conversations with customers, you dig out what's really behind a request: you ask the right questions instead of just working through a requirements list.
  • From these insights, you build concrete use cases and write requirements documents that our integration team can work with directly.
  • You assess how well a customer's workflows map onto what our product can actually do and where the gaps are.
  • You're by the sales team's side throughout the entire sales cycle, keeping them from promising things that can't be cleanly delivered later.
  • You take the lead in product demos, presentations, trial setups, and proof of concepts (PoCs), convincing both on content and substance.
  • On proposals, calculations, trade shows, and campaigns, you bring your technical perspective wherever sales needs it.
  • You keep our demo environments and sales tools continuously up to date.
  • You stay in constant exchange with product management, sales, and integration to make sure customer feedback actually makes it into the product.

Your profile

  • A degree in a technical or business field (e.g. business informatics) or comparable training, with strong technical curiosity.
  • Ideally some exposure to presales, consulting, or requirements engineering (preferably in a CRM, SaaS, or systems house environment).
  • A good instinct for grasping business processes and reading between the lines to understand what a customer actually needs.
  • Enough technical understanding to judge feasibility yourself and to hold your own on that with sales and integration.
  • The ability to explain even complicated technical topics clearly, in both German and English, spoken and in writing.
  • A structured, independent way of working paired with analytical thinking.
